The Lonesome West

With English subtitles! Not suitable for children under 15.
Budapest, Átrium Film-színház (Régi), 17 November 2019 19:30
In a small Irish town Valene and Coleman, the two brothers are living alone in their father's house after his recent death. They find it impossible to exist without violent disputes over the most innocent of topics. Only the local priest is prepared to try to reconcile the two before their petty squabblings spiral into vicious and bloody carnage.
This play discovers the dark side of human nature. The setting is a Western Ireland town called Leenane, and the characters are two stubborn men, very difficult to love and having an incessant urge to hurt each other. Contemporary Irish playwright Martin McDonagh wrote this piece in 1997, as a part of the Leenane trilogy, and he has won the  Alfred Radok Prize with it.

The performance contains strong language and some loud sound effects. Not suitable for children under 15.
