Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Godzilla is back, but this time he is not the only gigantic monster humankind has to face. In fact he is our only hope, as menacing Titans have come to erase the population of Earth. They see people as a fatal infection which destroyed the planet.
Rodan, Ghidorah and Mothra, the three Titans representing three elements (fire, air, earth) clash with Godzilla who comes from the ocean and takes the role of a protector, defending humankind against the other gigantic monsters. The story is set into an imaginary, dark future where people abused and exhausted the planet Earth. After the first trailers have been released, the film has quickly jumped onto the much-awaited list of 2019 because of the spectacular images and epic tone. But unfortunately 'Godzilla: King of Monsters' doesn't live up to expectations: the narrative is redundant and inconsistent, though the CGI monsters fight has some moments of splendor it lacks the credibility of similar sequences in last year's 'Pacific Rim' for example. Critics of 'The Guardian' already hailed the movie as "this summer’s first inarguably bad blockbuster".
