Doctor Sleep

It is an interesting fun fact that Stephen King hates so much Stanley Kubrick's film 'The Shining' that he intends to express his contempt in every possible way, for example writing a sequel to it.
We can see Ewan McGregor in the leading role, and the Scottish actor revealed in an interview that playing an alcoholic in Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel made him re-visit his own past struggles with alcohol. Though the novel itself hadn't met the unanimous approval of the readers and the critics, Flanagan's film has been received with more enthusiasm so far, as the director wanted to reconcile the two authors in his film, so both King's and Kubrick's style can be detected in 'Doctor Sleep', which follows the story of the adult Danny Torrance.
